Because District 10 requires that all associations submit the total of number of teams they will put on the ice at each level by October 2^nd, 2010, IYHA is asking that parents please get their skaters registered no later than September 24, 2010. This is important as it will give the Boys and Girls Coordinators about 1 week to assess the number of players they will have for each level of play and pass that information on to the District for the purposes of game scheduling. As such, any player(s), Squirt/U10 and above, that registers after September 24^th , 2010 will be assessed an additional $50 administrative fee which will be due at registration.

 Remember to register with USA Hockey first, then follow the steps for online registration through the IYHA website. Contact the Registration Coordinator with any questions.

Not a runner?  Family member of a runner?  Our pancake breakfast runs from 8-11:00 and the cost is $8.00/person unless you're a 5k or fun run participant and then you can purchase a ticket for $5.00 in conjunction with your registration.

Attention IYHA Members:
 
As a condition of our move to District 10, we (as will all the other associations) will be required to supply one “League Director”. This position’s main responsibility will be to log game scores sent to you via email and keep standings for a single level (i.e. PeeWee B or some other level of play) within District 10. This job shouldn’t be very difficult, and the best part is that by volunteering for this position, you will be fulfilling your IYHA volunteer responsibilities.

There are 2 FREE Learn To Skate events sponsored by Irondale Youth Hockey at the SuperRink.  Bring your friends and show them how much fun hockey is.  There will be equipment to use.  

Sunday September 12 - 12:30pm to 2:40pm at SuperRink 1
Sunday September 26 - 3:00pm to 5:10pm at SuperRink 5

FSN is sending a camera crew to film our Knights!

Celebrate Minnesota Hockey Day 2010, Irondale Style!

For Hockey Day 2010 Irondale players playied an outdoor game on Long Lake at the Squirt C Coach Phil Herbert's rink. It was a joint event with the PeeWee & Squirt Cs with the Dark Jersey team including all players living south of Long Lake and the White team including all players living North of the lake.

The South Team took home the "win" over the North Team although everyone won during this awesome event.  Even the unusual weather let up for the game and was not much of a factor.

Fox Sports News sent camera crew and it was watched at Moe's of Mounds View where the Boys High School team was finishing up their pancake breakfast/silent auction fundraiser.
